Overview
During the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games, Securitas Korea provided customized security operation services to major global sponsors. This project was an integrated security operations initiative covering multiple operational bases and hospitality spaces, including VIP protection, access control, and key facility protection.
Large-scale international events come with high operational complexity and various security challenges. In particular, the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games were held amid a complex operational environment including harsh winter weather, large international visitor operations, and global security issues.
Even in such an environment, Securitas Korea successfully carried out stable and systematic security operations.
Key challenges
The operating environment for the winter tournament required a high level of operational response capabilities and a flexible security management system.

Securitas Korea has established integrated security operations services tailored to each customer's operational environment and requirements.

24-hour on-site security operation
Dedicated on-site security personnel were deployed to provide continuous on-site protection and operational support throughout the event.

Patrol and maneuver operations
Patrol and mobile security personnel were deployed in key operational areas to support operational visibility and rapid response systems.

VIP Protection Operations
We have provided professional protection operations services for global corporate representatives and key VIP visitors.

Access Control Operation
Access control and visitor management operations were carried out for hospitality spaces and key operational areas.

Operation in conjunction with CCTV and Security Operations Center (SOC)
Through the Seoul Security Operations Center (SOC), we operated a CCTV monitoring and situational response support system.

Some operational zones deployed additional professional security personnel to support event operations.
